About
Built from the belief that shared attention can remain human.
Nimbus began with immersive audio and live experience, then revealed a broader need: groups everywhere struggle to hear, move, and remain connected without overwhelming the space around them.
The problem we saw
Most group audio systems force an unnecessary tradeoff. A group can receive strong, unified sound, but only by filling a room, venue, workplace, or public space with amplified audio. Or the surrounding environment can remain quiet, but the group loses clarity, energy, mobility, and shared focus.
Nimbus introduces a third condition: a group can share a coordinated audio experience while remaining physically present, environmentally aware, and operationally compatible with the space around it.
The underlying problem is not a shortage of speakers. It is competition for attention, sound, and space. Nimbus is an infrastructure response to that problem.
What Nimbus is
Nimbus is not a headphone brand, a speaker system, or a silent disco tool. It is a flexible shared-audio platform—a system that helps groups hear together, stay connected to each other and their environment, and experience sound more intentionally.
Nimbus builds experiences powered by Halo Sound: open-ear group audio that keeps people present.

The Halo headset — the open-ear participant layer that keeps every listener aware of the room.
How we build
We build Nimbus through pilots. These are real-world tests that prove what works fast and keep things simple. Our pilots focus on a few places where clarity matters most:
- ✓
Musicians and rehearsal monitoring
- ✓
Wellness and movement (including water-friendly environments)
- ✓
Museums, education, and guided experiences
- ✓
Neurodivergent and sensory-support settings
Every Nimbus pilot is a structured collaboration. We work with you before, during, and after—to understand your environment, your group, and what success actually looks like.
Leadership
Nimbus is led by Mathew Martinez—an operator who has spent years building complex, high-stakes experiences across disaster response and event production. Halo Sound isn't a gadget to us. It's a practical system for helping groups move together, learn together, and stay connected, without making the world louder.
Where we are
Nimbus Sound is based in Atlanta, Georgia, serving selected regional and national deployments.
