Workplace wellness case study

One Class. One Meeting Next Door. One Space That Needed to Do Both.

A workplace line-dancing session faced cancellation because amplified music would interfere with an active meeting nearby. Nimbus equipped twenty-seven participants with open-ear group audio, allowing both activities to continue in the same environment.

Shared-space coexistence and clear group instruction

The program was valuable. The room was the problem.

The class had a willing audience and an instructor ready to lead. The available environment could not support conventional amplified music without affecting nearby work.

The organization faced a choice: cancel the class, relocate it, or find a way to run it without broadcasting music into the adjacent space.

Nimbus moved the primary audio layer to the participants.

Rather than asking the entire workplace to receive the class soundtrack through room speakers, Nimbus delivered the program directly through participant-worn open-ear audio. Twenty-seven Halo headsets carried the music. A wearable vibration vest offered a tactile pathway for selected audio. The instructor guided the class through the shared audio channel.

The class and the meeting continued at the same time.

From the adjacent room, the remaining notable sound consisted primarily of brief instructor guidance and applause. The music stayed with the participants rather than filling the building. The organization did not have to choose between the wellness program and the meeting.

Participants remained part of a shared experience.

Participants reported stronger immersion, improved focus, and a better connection to the choreography. The instructor was able to communicate clearly without raising her voice.

These are reported experiences from the pilot, not measured outcomes. No satisfaction scores or percentages are claimed beyond what participants directly shared.

What the pilot demonstrated.

The deployment demonstrated early problem-solution fit for movement and wellness programming in shared or noise-sensitive workplaces.

It showed that Nimbus could help an active group receive a coordinated program without broadcasting the primary program audio throughout the surrounding environment.

What the pilot did not prove.

This single pilot does not prove:

  • Universal comfort

  • Universal accessibility

  • Long-duration fit

  • Performance in every building

  • Operator independence

  • Broad product-market fit

  • Guaranteed elimination of all sound

Could your workplace run the program without shutting down the space around it?

Nimbus pilots begin with the operational conflict, not the equipment list.
